4 Steps to a Profitable Niche! | startownbusinessonline.com

4 Steps to a Profitable Niche!

When you first start your own business, it can be overwhelming to choose
a niche let alone a profitable niche.

It's always good to remember putting yourself into another person's shoes
and then you will better understand what needs or wants are driving
today's market. But be careful, sometimes you'll be swayed into trends
or fads. These are short-term and usually don't last long enough to make
the money back you put into the marketing.

For those of you who are starting your own business, you want a more solid
foundation to start your own business on. So Here are the 7 steps
to a profitable niche.

1. Choose a well know field like Health Care or Wealth Growth niches.
For example, the health care field is a popular market and will always be
a need in everyone's life. There are a million of niches in that field
alone. Like dieting, exercising, vitamins, I could go on and on but I
think you get the picture.

Now what you do is "drill down" that popular market into a smaller niche.
For example, if you choose dieting, then perhaps you can target the
low carb diets for overweight children market. See how that narrows
the market and will bring you targeted customers who are eager to buy
something that will help their child.

2. Look For Multiple Products to sell within that Niche.

The best place to check is Click Bank. Just type in your niche or keyword
and see what products come up. Remember to pick only products that have
at least a gravity of 30 and give you at least 50% return. The more products
available in that niche shows you that it's a good market to target.
3. Choose a Niche that has Fragmented Keywords?

For example, if your niche is "dog training", then some fragmented keywords
would be "poodle dog training", "golden retriever dog training, "Denver Dog
training", etc. You want to have a wide selection of targeted keywords so
you can find your place in a popular and profitable niche.

4. Research your Chosen Niche:

You can do that in Click Bank by copying the merchants ID and then going to
ClickBankTrends.com. Click "performance tracking" and scroll down and put
in the merchants ID, Click enter and you will see the merchant's performance
for that product.

Go to Google Trends and enter your chosen niche to see the trends through-
out the whole year. Then you will know if this niche is a sustainable
market.

Go to Google Insights: Type in your keyword and see what geographical areas
have been typing in your keyword. It will also give you the demographics
of your keyword too. Toward the bottom of the page Google also gives you
"related search terms and popularity", Look for Rising searches for positive
growth.

By following these 4 steps to a Profitable Niche, you will save yourself
a lot of money and aggrevation when you start your own business online.
It is important to do the research before you put a lot of money into
your campaign. Finding a profitable niche is the most important first
step when you start your own business online.
